TRAVEL: You can choose to arrive in Homer, AK two ways (both are fun)

1) By way of flying directly into Homer. It is a small airport and flight times are limited, but, the experience flying over the Alaskan wilderness is extraordinary. From the Airport you can call a taxi to take you to your lodging. Renting a car while in Homer can be challenging due to the lack of inventory.

2) By way of flying into Anchorage, AK and driving to Homer. This is one of the most scenic drives I have ever done and if you have the time this is my recommended route. It is a long drive, but, worth every single mile! The drive weaves through mountains, rivers and picturesque scenes unlike anything I have experienced in the lower 48 states. Of course this is the most fun with a couple friends. (Upon registration you will be connected with other attendees to discuss travel coordination). Renting a car in Anchorage is usually quite easy. You will want to make your reservations now as cars do book up in peak season. Be sure to stop on your way out of Anchorage to see the Beluga Whales that congregate in the Bay. Then keep an eye out for Moose and their babies in the wooded areas alongside the road and Eagles perched on the branches overhead. If your lucky they will be casually enjoying their environment surrounded in beautiful blooms. The flowers are abundant in July!

LODGING: There are lots of great options on However, if you want to experience the more rugged side of Alaska. We suggest staying onsite. There are cabins available. Limited number of cabins available on a first serve basis. First

VENUE: We have the luxury of being hosted by AK Diamond J Ranch located on a beautiful working Peony farm! Horses and Peony... It doesn't get much better than that!  (ADDRESS: AK Diamond J Ranch 33675 Perkins Rd Homer AK 99603)
