Kristy Rice began her art career humbly, while hiding under the covers with a flashlight as a 6 year old girl who just wanted to make art, literally day and night. It was clear from the start…Kristy would make her mark on the world with a paintbrush.
For the last 15 years, Kristy’s personal obsession with paint and paper has evolved into an innovative brand (Momental Designs) which garners global attention from media, celebrities and some of the world’s most creative individuals. Along with a team of eight inspiring women, Kristy continues to innovate in the worlds of styling, stationery, design, art licensing and now author of the World’s First Adult Coloring Books for Watercolor! Painterly Days was the first popular series and Kristy’s Cutting Garden 4 books series followed in June 2017!
Kristy has transformed event stationery into a persuasive and compelling medium that brings the power of artistic storytelling to countless worldwide. Even notable celebrities like Sean Parker (Napster/Facebook), Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry and Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) selected Kristy to create art for their events.
Widely regarded as an industry tastemaker, Kristy’s styling skills have been sought out by outlets to produce creative editorials at some of the worlds most famed venues. Recent projects include a 6 page Anguilla editorial for Bridal Guide Magazine, a 9 page cover editorial for Destination I Do Magazine and a 7 page editorial celebrating her new book “The Painter’s Wedding” in The Knot Magazins.

Kristy is currently working on her ninth book with Schiffer Publishing titled “The Art for Joy’s Sake Journal”, due out Spring 2019. Kristy lives on a 40 acre retired farm with her husband Adam, son Isaac (Izzy) and lots of furry friends!
