We are thrilled to share an exclusive design opportunity for Intrigue Insiders to participate in a one-of-a-kind hands-on floral design project. This experience will take place at The Ivy Rose Barn in Rocky Mount, Virginia from September 8 through 10, 2024. Ivy Rose Barn is a secluded, elegant, all-white special event barn built from the ground up to create a perfectly luxurious experience. This is your chance to be part of an extraordinary design team, build your portfolio, and work closely with fellow floral enthusiasts.
Here’s how it works:

Lead Designer Role: We will select three lead designers who will work directly with me to create the design plan, write recipes, and lead a team of 5-7 designers. This role requires a significant commitment of 40-60 hours over the next 45 days to prepare for the event. Lead designers must be proficient in using floral software (no exceptions) and will be credited as the lead for their assigned design space.

Support Designer Role: We will also select 5-7 supporting designers working with the team leads. These designers will assist with executing the lead designer's vision and contribute to creating stunning installations. All team members must bring their dedication and treat this project as if it were their own event.
This is no fee for “Intrigue Insiders” to participate. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and meals. Flowers, décor, and professional photo and video documentation will be provided, ensuring your efforts are beautifully showcased.

SEPTEMBER 8 - 8am - 5pm - Design Day (lunch will be provided)

SEPTEMBER 9 - 7am - 9am - Design fluff and bouquet work. 9am - 5pm Relax, hang with your fellow designers or go on an adventure. This is break time as the designs you created are photographed. You will be on your own. 5pm - 7pm strike
*** Lead designers will also be working with me one on one to prepare for the design and can expect to put in an addition 20-30hrs prior to arriving

This venue is located in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The nearest city airport is located in Roanoke, VA about 30 mins away. It is a small regional airport. If you are looking to fly into a larger international airport, Greensboro, NC is about an hour and 15 mins away. Raleigh-Durham International Airport is about 2 hours and 15 mins away.
Hotel Recomendation - Springhill Suites Roanoke. This is only recommended and NOT required.
DO NOT PLAN ON USING UBER. I highly suggest renting a car if you are flying in for this design experience.
